By entering into a partnership or participating in any competition or publishing opportunity we offer, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions...

1. Competition Entry

* All competition entries must be the original work of the pupil submitting them.

* Entries must be submitted by the deadline agreed with the school.

* By submitting an entry, pupils and their parents/guardians grant SchoolAuthor.com the right to use the story for publishing purposes.

2. Selection of Winners

* The winning story will be selected by SchoolAuthor.com and/or the designated panel of judges.

* The selection decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

3. Publishing Rights

* The winning author (and their parent/guardian) will be required to grant SchoolAuthor.com the non-exclusive right to design, illustrate, edit, publish, and distribute the story in print and digital formats.

* The author retains personal rights to the story but agrees not to enter into publishing agreements with third parties for the same story without written consent from SchoolAuthor.com.

4. Illustration and Design

* SchoolAuthor.com reserves the right to assign illustrators and designers to work on the winning story.

* Final creative decisions, including illustrations and layout, rest with SchoolAuthor.com.

5. Publication and Distribution

* The book will be published via Amazon’s self-publishing platform.

* SchoolAuthor.com will provide one complimentary copy to the author and/or the school.

* Additional copies may be purchased directly from Amazon using the link provided.

6. Use of Images and Content

* By participating, schools and parents agree that the child’s first name, school name, and book cover may be used in promotional materials, both online and in print, unless otherwise requested in writing.

7. Data Protection

* We comply with all applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR.

* Personal information will only be used for competition, publication, and communication purposes.

8. Liability

* SchoolAuthor.com will not be liable for any damages, loss of content, or delays beyond our reasonable control.

* Schools are responsible for securing parental permission for competition entry and publication purposes.

9. Amendments to Terms

* SchoolAuthor.com reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.

* Updates will be posted on our website and effective immediately upon publication.
